The library copy of George Herbert’s poetry is filled with annotations in pencil, and next to the final lines of “Affliction (I)” someone’s written, “Whoa, well said!”
…
At this rate, I think that’s probably going to be the level of literary analysis I manage to come up with in the exam.
They have a point though.

OH I FORGOT

They basically stitched Loki’s mouth up. And I bet half of him thinks that he’s just going to let them do it to fool Thor into thinking he’s going back calmly and then another half is thinking this is probably what should have happened in the first place. Because he’s fucked up like that.

FUCKING HELL, TOM. Just…bloody brilliant. I thought Loki was going to be flat out evil in this movie but it was actually *worse* because he was so crazy that added a whole level of vulnerability. I don’t think he had a fucking clue what he would have done if he’d actually won. The really heartbreaking thing was that there were moments where you could see that he *did*...

It's all fine: It’s a stunt-heavy film — did you... →
fandom-fangirl:
Not on Avengers Assemble, but I did pick one up on Thor. Tom had a whip in his dressing room. I’ll leave you to speculate as to why. I opened up the door, saw it, and was just, “Why the hell have you got this thing?” And for one of the stunts he had to throw…

You know, you kind of have to admire that Joss Whedon got away with Loki calling Natasha a cunt in a 12A movie.
Also, ew.

A Conversation with Jeremy Renner and Scarlett...
Interviewer: You mentioned that it was quite fun on set, can you explain the dynamic between the cast members?
Jeremy Renner: I never saw anybody but you. I’m crazy about you
Scarlett Johansson: I’m crazy about you.
JR: Only because of the agave cakes. The healthy, what was it? Vegan…
SJ: Those oatmeal cookies were vegan.
JR: You put all that gooey stuff on it. What was that icing on it?
SJ: It was so good.
JR: There’s nothing goo – Vegan to me just sounds like health food. There’s nothing healthy about fun.
SJ: That’s not what vegan means.
JR: I know that’s not what it means, it’s just how I take it? Doesn’t anyone else think that? Like ‘oh, I’m vegan. I’m sorry’
SJ: I’m sorry I what? That I eat a bunch of salad?
JR: I eat bird seed and kale. That was her diet, she had a dehydration machine, and she just stuck whatever in it to dehydrate it, and everything came out tasting like toenails.
SJ: You just don’t like flax crackers.
JR: I don’t like flax crackers, no. That is literally terrible. Like eating asphalt.
SJ: I don’t know how to explain our dynamic any other way than the conversation you just heard.

Letters of Note: Forget Your Personal Tragedy →
Amazing letter from Ernest Hemingway to F. Scott Fitzgerald regarding Tender is the Night. Also an extremely sad one once you think that Fitzgerald never did produce another novel, and never did manage to escape what he’d been writing about over and over.
It’s still a brilliant book though. :D
