Favorite FilmsBlade Runner (1982)

I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I’ve watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those … moments will be lost in time, like tears…in rain. Time to die.

Weirdly I drove past the Wilton Chemical Plant, which was the actual inspiration for the opening shots of Blade Runner on the way to another Marillion gig in 2005. Only it looked even better than this because there was a massive yellow moon rising behind it.

I’m watching Blade Runner and was reminded of the insanely beautiful power plant skylines I drove past in Rotterdam on the way back from the convention. I don’t like to think what the hell they’re doing to the environment but wow.

A great Movie, especially for 1982… Edward James Olmos is the best!

It kept bugging me that they use “skin-job” in Battlestar Galactica, ‘til I realised who played Gaff in Blade Runner. HEART.

It’s a shame she won’t live, but then again who does?

Oh wow, I never even thought of that.
